Check for Accredited Institutions — Check for Accredited Institutions

Legitimate colleges and universities must have their programs regularly reviewed by independent accreditation organizations to ensure they meet acceptable standards.

You can check if a school is accredited by using the College Navigator database or looking up the school on the Department of Education's site. It is also important to verify if the accrediting body itself is officially listed by the Department of Education.
