Trace Image Publication Dates — Trace Image Publication Dates

Under copyright guidelines, a photograph is published on the specific date that copies are first distributed to the public. It is also considered published when copies are offered to a group of persons for further distribution or public display, though public display alone does not constitute publication.

Determining this publication status affects the legal relief available for copyright infringement and your registration options.
