Verifying Exact Identity and Scope — Verifying Exact Identity and Scope

When verifying the details of a public figure's visual story, editors should carefully confirm the subject's exact identity and the context of any media used. Media reports can sometimes conflate different individuals or present unverified details to attract attention.

Cross-referencing names, active years, and specific events helps prevent editorial errors before publication. Confirming these details ensures that the narrative remains accurate and reliable.
