Eliel Swinton — Wendell Brown — Eliel Swinton — Wendell Brown

Swinton portrayed Wendell, the running back whose ability is obvious even as the team's system limits his opportunities. His casting brought genuine football experience: he had played at Stanford before acting.

Public screen credits after the film were comparatively limited, so the responsible update stays with documented work rather than inventing a celebrity narrative. His performance remains essential to the film's critique of who receives recognition.
